On Thursday, March 29, 2007, the El Dorado County Child Abuse Prevention Council hosted a luncheon to recognize individuals within our community who "Increase Awareness and Respect for the Rights of Children to be Free of Abuse and Neglect." Both Carol Martin and Sheila Silan were unfortunately not able to attend this event. Supervisor Baumann and Elizabeth Blakemore are presenting these awards today to publicly thank both women for their commitment to the Child Abuse Prevention Council and our community.
