Title
Human Resources recommending the Board adopt Resolution 007-2015, superseding Resolution 245-2014, in order to correct a clerical error and amend the Salary Schedule and establish the new salary ranges for the classes affected by El Dorado County Charter Section 504.
Body
Background
Each year, the Board is mandated by section 504 of the El Dorado County Charter to adjust the salaries of certain classifications to become effective on the first day of January of each year.  On December 16, 2014, Agenda Item 28 was presented to the Board with the purpose of adjusting those salaries.  The Board of Supervisors adopted Resolution 245-2014 to amend the Salary Schedule and implement the new salary ranges for classes affected by El Dorado County Charter Section 504.  The December 16th item included two attachments - a Resolution to adopt the new salary ranges, and a chart with the computations of the new salary ranges.  The computation of the new salary ranges was done correctly; however the new salary ranges were not accurately reflected in Resolution 245-2014.
Reason for Recommendation
A new resolution is needed to correct a clerical error in Resolution 245-2014 in regards to the salary schedule reflected in that Resolution and to bring the Board action into conformance with Charter provision 504.

Action(s) to be taken following Board approval
1)  The Clerk will obtain the signature of the Chair on the Resolution and provide Human Resources with a copy of the executed resolution.
2)  Human Resources will work with Payroll and Information Technologies to ensure that appropriate rates are entered into the Payroll/Personnel System.
