DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATIONS:
Surveyor's Office recommending the Board adopt a Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement 15-003 (AOE 15-003) to abandon a public utility easement on Lot 55 of "OAK TREE VILLAGE - UNIT NO. 2," recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 85, identified as Assessor's Parcel Number (APN) 125-641-02, requested by Jeremy J. Walters Jr. and Tammy C. Walters.
 
DISCUSSION BACKGROUND:
A request has been submitted by, Jeremy J. Walters Jr. and Tammy C. Walters, owner of APN 125-641-02, requesting that the County of El Dorado, Board of Supervisors, vacate the public utility easement located on the subject property. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit A, and depicted on Exhibit B of attached Resolution.
 
The public utility easement, as shown on Lot 55 of "OAK TREE VILLAGE - UNIT NO. 2", recorded at Book G of Subdivisions at Page 85 was offered to the County of El Dorado by, OAK TREE VILLAGE JOINT VENTURE, A CALIFORNIA GENERAL PARTNERSHIP, on November 30, 1987. The easement was accepted by the County of El Dorado on December 22, 1987 and the Subdivision Map recorded on December 28, 1987.

OTHER DEPARTMENT / AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
AT&T, Comcast, El Dorado Irrigation District and Pacific Gas & Electric have not used said easement for the purpose for which it was dedicated and find no present or future need exists for said easement and do not object to its vacation, and to that end, have all issued letters to this effect;
 
CAO RECOMMENDATION:
CAO recommending the Board adopt the Resolution of Vacation for Abandonment of Easement as recommended by staff.
 
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item
 
CLERK OF THE BOARD FOLLOW UP ACTIONS:
1) Clerk of the Board to obtain the Chair's signature on the Resolution.
2) Clerk of the Board to record the Resolution and attached Exhibits.
3) Clerk of the Board to return a copy of the recorded Resolution and attached Exhibits to the Surveyor's Office for further processing.
4) Surveyor's Office will coordinate with the applicant's Professional Land Surveyor or Registered Civil Engineer licensed to practice surveying, to have the Certificate of Correction Modification or Amendment recorded on Book G of Subdivisions at Page 85.
