Body
DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation) recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to sign the First Amendment to Agreement No. 631-S1311 with BST Services, Inc. dba Blain Stumpf Trucking (BST Services) to increase the not-to-exceed compensation amount of the Agreement by $150,000.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
On June 25, 2013, the Board authorized the Chair to award and sign Agreement for Services with BST Services to provide hauling services on the West Slope for the Transportation's Maintenance and Operations unit (Item No. 26). The Agreement was written with a not-to-exceed compensation amount of $400,000. The Agreement is used for hauling large quantities of materials out to the jobs during the construction seasons when quantities exceed the Maintenance unit's capabilities.

In both the 2013 and 2014 construction seasons, there was an increased usage of the hauling services due to the funding augmentation provided to Road Maintenance by the Board. This Amendment is necessary to add $150,000 to the not-to-exceed compensation amount to complete the projects in the Tribe area this summer, areas designated for chip seal this fall, and rehabilitation projects on the West Slope.
