Community Development Agency, Transportation Division, recommending the Board adopt and authorize the Chair to Resolution 075-2015 sanctioning the closure of Main Street and Wentworth Springs Road in the Georgetown area on Wednesday, July 22, 2015 between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., for the "2015 Jeepers Jamboree Vendor Show and Outdoor Expo", subject to conditions set forth in Resolution No. 110-79 and in the "Application for Road Closure."

DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Community Development Agency,Transportation Division (Transportation) is recommending Board approval of the road closures to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the event, and to assist in the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The "Jeepers Jamboree Vendor Show and Outdoor Expo" is an annual event in Georgetown, held for the past 16 years, that coincides with the start of the "Jeepers Jamboree" trail run/event. Sponsored by Jeepers Jamboree and Jeep Jamboree, Inc., and held in the historic Georgetown downtown, these road closures will provide pedestrians with an opportunity to enjoy the event with no through motor vehicle traffic. Motorist can use either Church Street or South Street/B Street as a detour around the event. The event will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2015, between 3:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.
