DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
District Attorney recommending that the Board approve and authorize the chairperson to sign the attached budget transfer increasing use of fund balance and operating transfers out by $16,926 in fund 20-522-331 Auto Fraud program and increase revenues and appropriations in the District Attorney's operating budget by the same amount.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The department received a grant award from the California Department of Insurance in FY 2014-15. A modification was processed and approved in October 2014 increasing the amount of the award to include funds not expended in FY 2013-14. The budget was not increased enough to account for the full amount of this modification. The department has fully expended these funds in FY 2014-15 and a budget transfer is required to draw down available fund balance.
ALTERNATIVES
The Board could not approve the budget transfer which would result in the General Fund covering $16,926 in FY 2014-15 expenses.

FINANCIAL IMPACT
