DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION:
Health and Human Services Agency (HHSA) recommending approval of this Agreement for Services 404-O1511 contingent upon approval by County Counsel and Risk Management, to create and establish an additional and ongoing revenue source for the programs and activities that support seniors in the community.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND:
HHSA administers and coordinates an array of services and programs that promote the health and well-being of older adults throughout the community. Senior services programs directly administered by HHSA currently include the Multipurpose Senior Services Program (MSSP), Senior Day Care, Adult Protective Services, Senior Peer Counseling, Area Agency on Aging programs such as Senior Nutrition, Senior Legal Services, Elder Abuse Prevention, Family Caregiver Support Program, Long-Term Care Ombudsman, Senior Activities, Information and Assistance, Senior Health Education Program, You Are Not Alone (YANA) Telephone Reassurance Program, and Senior Shuttle services.
