Sheriff’s Office recommending the Board approve and accept with thanks a cash donation in the amount of $100 from Golden Bear Events for the first place prize at the Fourth Annual Lake Tahoe Fall Festival Chili Cook Off awarded to the inmates in the South Lake Tahoe Jail Culinary Program. The donation will be deposited in the Inmate Welfare Trust account to be used for the benefit of jail inmates.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
Recently, inmates in the South Lake Tahoe Jail Culinary Program participated in a chili cook off contest at the Fourth Annual Lake Tahoe Fall Festival sponsored by Golden Bear events. The inmates won first place in the Chili Cook Off and received a cash donation of $100 for their efforts. The cash donation will be deposited in the Inmate Welfare Trust Fund.
