DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION
The Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation) is recommending Board approval of the road closures to provide for the safety of participants, volunteers and spectators along the course, and to assist in the success of this community event. Other involved agencies have made no objections to this closure.

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The 2015 Cameron Park annual “Santa Run” event is being sponsored by the Cameron Park Community Services District and will occur on December 5, 2015 between 8:00 a.m. and 9:15 a.m. This is a 5K charity fun run which starts and finishes at the Community Services District office, located at 2502 Country Club Drive. The sponsor has requested the road closures listed below:

§ Country Club Drive between Bass Lake Road and Knollwood Drive;
§ Merrychase Drive between Greenwood Lane and Country Club Drive;
§ Knollwood Drive between Country Club Drive and Greenwood Lane; and
§ Greenwood Lane between Knollwood Drive and Merrychase Drive in Cameron Park.

1. The Clerk will obtain the Chair’s signature on the Resolution.
2. The Clerk will send an executed copy of the Resolution to Transportation.
