Community Development Agency, Transportation Division (Transportation), recommending the Board approve and authorize the Chair to execute Contract Change Order (CCO) 1.1 with RaPiD Construction Inc. for no cost to correct a clerical error in CCO 1 on the Sawmill 2B Bike Path and Erosion Control Project (Project), CIP No. 95192, Purchasing Contract No. 017-C1599.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
At the regular meeting of the Board of Supervisors (Board) on May 12, 2015 (Item No. 24), the Board approved CCO 1 on the Project. An auditor from Caltrans pointed out that CCO 1 contained a clerical error. The title and body of CCO 1 indicate that the CCO’s payment methods were (1) increases of contract items at contract item prices, and (2) agreed unit prices. However, the payment clause of the CCO states that payment will be made at agreed lump sum. This proposed CCO 1.1 will change the payment clause of CCO 1 to align with the title and body of CCO 1.
