DEPARTMENT RECOMMENDATION

Chief Administrative Office, Facilities Division, recommending the Board authorize the Department to enter into negotiations with the property owners of APN 325-240-4 & 325-240-5, and appoint the Chief Administrative Officer, or designee, as the real estate negotiator on behalf of the County.

 

DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND

On February 9th, 2016, the Board authorized the Department to enter into negotiations with the property owners of 161 Fair Lane (APN 325-280-34-100), 203 Fair Lane (APN 325-280-25), 201 Fair Lane (APN 325-280-12-100),197 Fair Lane (APN 325-280-11-100) and 121 Fair Lane 325-280-09-1 and appointed the Chief Administrative Officer, or designee, as the real estate negotiator on behalf of the County.

 

Mistakenly omitted from that Board item were two additional parcels; APN 325-240-4 & 325-340-5.

 

The County may be interested in acquiring the subject properties, which are adjacent to the Placerville Government Center, for future expansion opportunities.

 

ALTERNATIVES

The County may disregard the potential acquisition.
