Sheriff’s Office recommends the acceptance of the donation for the new K-9 vest.
DISCUSSION / BACKGROUND
The Sheriff’s Office has been selected to receive a donated bullet proof K-9 vest for our K-9 Carly, who is in need of a higher level vest.
This foundation was created in honor of eight year old Gavin Buchanan, who was a victim in a triple homicide that occurred last year. The foundation is dedicated to supplying higher level bulletproof vests to K-9 units who are in need of better protection. The vest has an estimated value of $1,200.
