Probation Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement 032-S0711 with Bar-O Boys Ranch for the term July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007 for the placement of juveniles who are court-ordered wards on an "as-needed" basis for said Department.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.
FUNDING: General Fund/ $25,000 budgeted.

Reason for Recommendation:
The term of Agreement #032-S0711 will be July 1, 2006 to June 30, 2007; however, no services have been utilized by El Dorado County Probation for the ranch/camp in the past 16 months. The Probation Department makes every effort to have Agreements in place in a timely manner. The County of Del Norte and the Bar-O-Boys Ranch delayed in returning the Agreement prior to expiration. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the Probation Department is respectfully requesting the Board approve this Agreement effective July 1, 2006.
Anticipation of future use is difficult as juvenile ranch/camp commitments are Court ordered on an as-needed basis; however, at this time the Probation Department does not see any imminent juvenile commitments at this facility.
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The Probation Department has budgeted $25,000.00 for FY 06/07. No effect on Net County Cost as a result of this Board action.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) The Chairman of the Board of Supervisors to sign Agreement.
2) Purchasing Agent shall establish a Blanket Purchase Order for FY 06/07 payments and
Probation will process payments upon receipt and approval of incoming invoices.
