REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: At the request ofthe Public Health Department, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued an Invitation to Bid for the purchase of ten (10) modular kennels, sliding feed trays and kennel organizers.
The modular kennels will be placed in temporary modular buildings to house animals at the South Lake Tahoe Animal Shelter while the current shelter is under renovation.
Three (3) Invitations to Bid were mailed; none to local vendors. Two (2) qualified responses were received; none from local vendors. Attached is a spreadsheet for your review.
FISCAL IMPACT/CHANGE TO NET COUNTY COST: Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within thePublic Health Department's services and supplies budget.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL: Following Board approval, the Procurement and Contracts division will issue a purchase order in the amount of $23,726.00 to T Kennel Systems of Kansas City, KS.
