REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION:  At the request of the Department of Transportation, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued an Invitation to Bid for various cutting edges to be used on snow plows and graders for snow removal operations throughout the County.
 
Thirty-eight (38) Invitations to Bid were mailed; one (1) to a local vendor.  Three (3) qualified responses were received, none from local vendors.  Attached is a spreadsheet for your review.
 
FISCAL IMPACT/CHANGE TO NET COUNTY COST:  Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within the Department of Transportation's Road Fund budget.
 
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL:  Following Board approval, the Procurement and Contracts Division will issue two purchase orders, one to Holt of California of Pleasant Grove, CA in the amount of $28,351.00 and one to Acme Rigging & Supply of Ukiah, CA in the amount of $43,793.00, including sales tax.
