Background: The Treasurer-Tax Collector's department has an agreement with Columbia Ultimate, Inc. to develop an electronic interface between the El Dorado County Superior Court's ISD Corporation software and Columbia Ultimate's software used by the Department's Revenue Recovery Division. The agreement is for $8,520.00. The interface project was more complex than originally projected. The total for the development and first year's support is now $12,000.00.
Reason for Recommendation:
1) Find that it is more economical and feasible to 'contract out' the services in accordance with County Ordinance 3.13, Section 3.12.030;
2) Approve Agreement #549-S0610, Amendment I, with Columbia Ultimate, Inc. for programming an electronic interface with Superior Court's case management software; and
3)Authorize the Board Chair to execute said Agreement.
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: $3,480.00 which will be reimbursed to the County by Revenue Recovery Division's collections for the Superior Court. No change to Net County Cost.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The department will notify Purchasing of the Board's approval to Amendment I of the agreement. The department will approve Columbia Ultimate's invoice and forward to Auditor-Controller for payment.
