Title
El Dorado County Military Family Support Group sharing with the Board the "Patriotic Quilt" that will be raffled to raise funds after being displayed at various county locations through September 11, 2007.
Body
The El Dorado County Military Family Support Group (MFSG), founded in August 2005, is comprised of family members of active, inactive and veteran military personnel from El Dorado County.  This group meets the 4th Tuesday evening of every month at the El Dorado County Veterans Memorial Building to discuss the unique issues and challenges facing the family members of military personnel.  The MFSG raises funds to support different activities and needs within the group; whether it be to mail supplies from home or to help members who need to travel in order to be with their active duty family member.

Members of the MFSG recently donated materials for the "Patriotic Quilt" which contains the nametapes of 52 active, inactive and veteran military members from El Dorado County.  To support their activities, the MFSG will conduct a raffle for the "Patriotic Quilt."  All proceeds from the raffle will be used to support the ongoing efforts of the Group; supporting the families and loved ones of active military personnel.  Local businesses will sell raffle tickets while the quilt is displayed at various locations throughout the county until September 11, 2007.
