Reason for Recommendation:

At its January 9 meeting (Item 51), the Information Technologies Department requested a time allocation to discuss technology trends and directions.  The Board directed staff to schedule the workshop during a regularly scheduled Board meeting. The workshop was scheduled for February 13 but was moved to February 27 because of the Capital Improvement Program.

After a review of all of the planning-related items that the Board will consider on February 27, the Chief Adminsitrative Officer requested that the Information Technologies workshop be rescheduled for Tuesday, March 13.   Due to additional scheduling conflicts it is now recommended that this workshop be rescheduled to Tuesday, March 27, 2007.

I remain available to answer any questions you may have concerning this request.

Action to be taken following Board approval:

The Board Clerk will schedule the workshop as described above.
