Public Health Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign the following retroactive agreements for the term July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007 to provide Dependency Drug Court Services for Fiscal Year 2006/2007:
(1) 542-PHD0906 with Sierra Recovery Center in the amount of $20,992;
(2) 541-PHD0906 with Progress House, Inc. in the amount of $23,992;
(3) 540-PHD0906 with Family Connections, Inc. in the amount of $7,303.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Background: The Public Health Department, in collaboration with the Department of Human Services and the El Dorado County Superior Court, oversees the Dependency Drug Court Program which provides treatment for parents whose substance abuse contributes to child abuse and/or neglect resulting in involvement with juvenile court dependency proceedings. Funding for this program is provided by a Comprehensive Drug Court Implementation Agreement from the Department of Alcohol and Drug Programs.
Reason for Recommendation: The attached retroactive Agreements will provide funding for the Dependency Drug Court Program for the period of July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007. These Agreements are retroactive due to the late receipt of the fully executed funding Agreement from the State (received December 8, 2006) and processing time required by the County for the Treatment Services Provider Agreements.
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Funding is included in Public Health's FY06/07 Alcohol/Drug Treatment Budget. There is no change to Net County Cost.
