Background:  The Celebrating Families! Program is a pilot program being implemented by the Department of Human Services (DHS), Social Services Division and the Public Health Department to provide services to DHS clients addicted to and/or abusing drugs or alcohol.  Participating families will meet once a week to experience a family dinner and receive individual and group counseling aimed at assisting  families to reunify or to remain reunified.  Public Health will be responsible for administering the Program under the Direction of DHS.
 
Reason for Recommendation:  The attached Budget Transfer will provide funding for a .25 FTE Health Education Coordinator to oversee the Program.
 
Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  Budget Transfer will increase Public Health Department funding for FY06/07 by $25,000.  There is no change to Net County Cost.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
 1)  Chairman to sign attached Budget Transfer;
 2)  Board Clerk's Office to forward executed Budget Transfer to Auditor's Office for posting.
