REASON FOR RECOMMENDATION: At the request of the Public Health Department, the Procurement and Contracts Division issued an Invitation to Bid for modular kennels and sliding feed trays.
The modular kennels will be installed in a temporary animal shelter while the new West Slope animal control facility is under construction. After the new animal control facility is constructed these kennels will be moved and installed in the new animal shelter.
Four (4) Invitations to Bid were mailed, none to local vendors; one (1) qualified response was received. The bid results are provided on the attached spreadsheet.
FISCAL IMPACT/CHANGE TO NET COUNTY COST: Procurement and Contracts has been advised that funding is available within the Public Health Department's services and supplies budget.
ACTION TO BE TAKEN FOLLOWING APPROVAL: Following Board approval, the Procurement and Contracts Division will issue a purchase order in the amount of $149,277.00 to T Kennel Systems of Kansas City, KS.
