(1) SC1-2007 with Superior Court in the amount of $16,000 (incoming);

Background: The Public Health Department, in collaboration with El Dorado County Superior Court, oversees the Collaborative Justice Juvenile Drug Court Program which provides alcohol and drug treatment services for El Dorado County youth who are court-ordered to treatment. Funding for this program is provided by the Judicial Council of California, Administrative Office of the Courts, with El Dorado County Superior Court serving as the Fiscal Agent. Superior Court contracts with Public Health which in turn contracts with local non-profit Treatment Providers.

Reason for Recommendation: Superior Court has received an additional year of funding for the Collaborative Justice Juvenile Drug Court Program. The attached retroactive Agreements provide funding for services for the period of July 1, 2006 through June 30, 2007. These Agreements are retroactive due to the late receipt of the fully executed funding Agreement from the Judicial Council of California (received November 15, 2006) and processing time required by the County for the resulting Agreements.
