Title
Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, presenting list of personal property for donation to the County Department of Transportation for the use of office space cubicles in accordance with the procedures outlined in the County's Purchasing Ordinance, Chapter 3.12.; and authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute the required surplus property donation agreement with Briw Office Investors.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:  Approve.

Body
Reason for Recommendation:  The Child Support Services Department currently resides in a leased facility on Briw Road in Placerville where the Steel Case cubicles currently in use are owned by their landlord, Briw Office Investors.  Child Support Services is replacing existing systems furniture with new furniture that is more ergonomically correct and more adept to providing the needed privacy for staff that have a high volume of contact with the public.  The Department of Transportation is in need of additional cubicles for their El Dorado Hills and Headington Road locations.  Briw Office Investors has agreed to donate the Steel Case systems furniture panels and work surfaces to the County.

The panels and work surfaces to be donated to the County will meet the needs of the Department of Transportation.  In order to have the property added to the Department of Transportation's inventory list, the Board must accept the donated furniture and authorize the Purchasing Agent to execute the surplus property donation agreement for the acquisition of same.  A list of the property to be donated and a draft copy of the agreement is attached for your review.

Fiscal Impact:  None

Action to be taken following approval:  Upon approval of the recommendation, the Purchasing Agent will initiate the surplus property donation agreement with Briw Office Investors for the acquisition of personal property.
