Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The Phase 1A Project is funded with the Traffic Impact Mitigation Fee Program (TIM) funds and sufficient funds are in the project budget for the subject acquisition, including compensation to the owner of $3,800.00, plus title and escrow fees of approximatley $1,200.00, for a total of $5,000.00.

Background:
The U.S. Hwy. 50/Missouri Flat Road Interchange Project #71317 requires that a temproary construction easement be acquired in order to accommodate a minor realignment of Perks Court. The property consists of a single family residence and is located at 6846 Perks Court, Placerville.

On July 18, 2006, your Board authorized DOT’s Right of Way Unit to engage in negotiations to acquire a portion of the subject property. Negotiations with Mrs. Rogers continued for several months, and settlement has now been reached.

Reason for Recommendation:
The temporary land rights are necessary from the subject property owner in order to conform the subject property's driveway to the minor realignement of Perks Court.
