Background:  The County Historical Museum Trust Fund was established by the Board of Supervisors on January 4, 2000, Agenda Item #16. Revenue placed in the Trust Fund is generated through a combination of visitor donations, monetary bequests and donations made directly to the museum. These funds are dedicated to museum projects to incude the purchase or restoration of objects which will go on exhibit, resource materials for educational programs and support materials as needed for the installation of exhibits.

Reason for Recommendation: Funding is necessary to cover costs associated with the installation of a transportation exhibit together  with steel and other material costs needed in the restoration of two railroad artifacts.

Action to be taken following Board approval:  Board Clerk to forward signed Budget Transfer to General Services for disposition to Auditor-Controller.
