Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: Two cash boxes for $50 each will be funded by west slope Animal Control cost savings.  There is no additional net County cost.

Reason for Recommendation: The current cash box ($50.00) at 2301 Coolwater Creek Road will be moved to the interim Animal Control facility at 415 Placerville Drive.  However, two additional $50.00 cash boxes will be needed at the interim facilities at 511 Placerville Drive and 4211 Sunset Lane in Shingle Springs.  These boxes will be used for receiving funds and making change for transactions related to animal licenses, adoptions, and impound fees.

Action to be taken following Board approval: Department to allocate current year funds for cash box needs; Auditor/Controller to process associated cash fund request by Department.
