Reason for Recommendation: On December 12, 2006 the Board of Supervisors approved a contract amendment to extend for one year the Potomac Partners contract (#481-S0611) for federal advocacy services through January 1, 2008.  The contract provides for the County to pay the consultant $10,000 per month but unfortunately did not include language to increase the amount necessary in the "do not exceed" provision to allow payments to occur.  The technical amendment is required for the consultant to be paid through January 1, 2008.  The following illustrates the contract amounts by term and amount.
