Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The FY 2006-07 cost for the lease option is $45,237.60 (3 months). The Department of Transportation has advised General Services that funds will be included in their FY 2007-08 budget request for next fiscal year.
Background:
The County of El Dorado has leased this facility since April 15, 2002 for the Department of Transportation Engineering staff located in South Lake Tahoe.
Reason for Recommendation:
The current facility lease agreement expires on April 14, 2007 and the Department of Transportation has expressed their desire to exercise the option to extend the lease for an additional five (5) year term commencing on April 15, 2007 and ending on April 14, 2012. The lease amount is $15, 079.20 per month and the cost per square foot is $2.51.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Upon approval by the Board, General Services will forward the official notification to the Lessor.
