Funding for the contract is available in the Accumulative Capital Outlay Fund. No change in net County cost.
Background:
On November 14, 2006, Agenda Item #32, the Board directed the Department of General Services to negotiate a contract with Nacht & Lewis Architects, Inc. for design services relating to the Sheriff's Office, Placerville Jail Expansion Project. The selection of this firm was based on a recommendation of the Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division as the result of a Request for Qualification, Statement of Interest 07-906-020 and the responses to the evaluation committee interview as the best company that meets the needs for the County.
Reason for Recommendation:
General Services Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement #738-S0711 with Nacht & Lewis Architects, Inc. in the amount of $2,360,000.00 for a two year term to provide architectural services for the expansion of the exisitng Placerville Jail facility.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Procurement and Contracts will submit to the Board clerk the approved original agreement for Chairman's signature. The Board Clerk will return same to Procurement and Contracts for distribution and processing.
