Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: None. Funding available in the Sheriff's Civil Equipment Special Revenue Fund.
Background: The Sheriff recently purchased new Civil process software that is not able to be installed due to the limitations of the current computer server in the Civil section.
Reason for Recommendation: The Sheriff had anticipated replacing the computer server in the Civil section in FY07/08, but the recent purchase of software that will not interact with the old server has made it necessary to request this piece of computer sooner than anticipated.
Action to be taken following Board approval: The Auditor will process the attached Budget Transfer Request appropriating funding in the Civil Equipment Special Revenue Fund and the Sheriff's Civil operating budget; Sheriff's staff will submit a request to Purchasing to issue a purchase order for the replacement server.
