Reason for Recommendation: Board of Supervisors Policy C-17, Section 9.1 requires that the Purchasing Agent submit to the Board a report of procurement and contract activity not less than quarterly.
 
The second quarterly report submitted with this agenda item includes procurement and contract activity for the period January 1, 2007 through March 31, 2007, and also includes the Department of Transportation's Task Order Report as requested and approved by your Board on March 27, 2007, item #26.
 
A summary report and a comprehensive report have been provided for your review.  Four new reports have been added for the second quarter.  A brief overview of these reports will be provided for your Board.  The new reports are:
 
      Department of Transportation Task Order Report
      Commodity Utilization Report
      Emergency Purchase Orders Report
      Confirming Purchase Orders Summary Report
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:  Purchasing Agent will make requested modifications to procurement activity reports as directed.
