Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The FY 2006-07 cost for the lease option is $1,672.48 (1 month).  The Sheriff's Department   has advised General Services that funds will be included in their FY 2007-08 budget request for next fiscal year.
 
Background:
The County of El Dorado has leased this facility since April 25, 2000 for the Sheriff's Department located in Placerville.
 
Reason for Recommendation:
The current facility lease agreement expires on May 31, 2007 and the Sheriff's Department   has expressed their desire to exercise the option to extend the lease for an additional one (1) year term commencing on June 1, 2007 and ending on May 31, 2008. The lease amount is $1,672.48 per month and the cost per square foot is $1.29.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:
Upon approval by the Board, General Services will forward the official notification to the Lessor.
