Background:
I.T. has employed this system software product since 2000, to compress/decompress data used on the mainframe.
Reason for Recommendation:
Agreement #358-C0111 provides for licensing of the product by CPU. With the upgrade to the new IBM z9 BC server the County is required to pay a license upgrade fee. This amendment is effective April 1, 2007, however, due to conversion issues the upgrade was not completed until the end of April, 2007. While this agreement is retoractive, the new rate did not go into effect until the conversion was completed.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1) Board Clerk shall forward one original copy of the fully executed agreement to I.T.
2) Authorize Purchasing Agent to increase BP # 240599 to include the upgrade fee.
3) I.T. shall forware the fully executed original Amendment II to PKWARE along with a letter to
proceed.
4) I.T. shall process the license upgrade fee invoice.
