Adoption of Ordinance 4723 amending Section 8.65.020 of Chapter 8.65 of Title 8 of the County Ordinance Code to reflect changes to allow the First 5 Children and Families Commission to comply with the First 5 California State matched programs. (Refer 5/8/07, Item 20)

Supervisor Baumann requests, on behalf of the First 5 Children and Families Commission, the Board approve amending County Ordinance Code section 8.65.020 to reflect changes approved by the Commission on March 13, 2007. These changes will allow the First 5 Children and Families Commission to comply with the First 5 California state matched programs.
The First 5 California Commission states Prop 10 funding is allocated to children prenatal through age five. The First 5 El Dorado Children and Families Commission's original ordinance states funding is for prenatal to age five. The proposed amendment would reflect the First 5 California Commission's statement that Prop 10 funding is allocated to children prenatal through age five.
A copy of the proposed change to County Ordinance section 8.65.020 is attached for the Board's review.
