Background: A generous donor has offered to donate the funds needed to improve the exhibit lighting in the County Museum's Transportation Exhibit Room. The donation, in the amount of $3,500, will cover all costs associated with the exhibit lighting. With the assistance of vounteers, a new exhibit is being installed which will focus on the accomplishments of Snowshoe Thompson, the Pony Express, the importance of the Wells Fargo Company, El Dorado County's early telegraph, and the Native Sons of the Golden West's Concord stagecoach.  Additional lighting will greatly enhance museum visitors' experience of the new exhibit.

Reason for Recommendation: To utilize the offer of a generous donor to improve the lighting at the County Museum

Action to be taken following Board approval: Staff will process a contract for the purchase and installation of the lighting enhancement.
