Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: There is no fiscal impact or net County cost at this time.
Background: The County has been approached by the Comic Relief organization with a proposal to upgrade the kennels in the SLT Animal Control facility in conjunction with the upcoming renovation. Supervisor Santiago will provide the Board with an overview of the proposal and the potential benefits for the County.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Supervisor Santiago to begin negotiations on behalf of the County with Comic Relief, acknowledging that a formal agreement needs to be brought back to the Board with specific details of the relationship outlined for final approval.
