Title
Supervisor Baumann, on behalf of the El Dorado County Office of Education, recommending ratification of her signature on the application for Emergency Response and Crisis Management Grant to improve and strengthen emergency response and crisis management plans.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.
Body
At the request of the El Dorado County Office of Education, Chairman Baumann signed their application for Emergency Response Crisis Management Grant funds.  Due to the submittal timeline, a ratification of the Chairman's signature is requested.

Emergency Response Crisis Management Grant funds will be used to improve and strengthen emergency response and crisis management plans, including training and coordination with at least five community based agencies, one of which must be local government.  School districts are expected to need approximately $100,000 for small districts, and up to $500,000 for large districts to ensure that they are prepared for and can recover from emergency situations, including wildfire, other natural disasters, and terrorist attacks.  One of the top priorities  for this next year is to complete a county-wide pandemic flu plan.

Supervisor Baumann requests the Board ratify her signature on the Emergency Response Crisis Management Grant Fund application.
