Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:The total funding for this agreement is $150,000 for the two year contract. There is no Change to Net County Cost.
 
Background: Starlight Adolescent Center is a community treatment facility. This is a high level residential facility to treat minors who are emotionally disturbed. It is located in Santa Clara County. Starlight has been providing specialty mental health services for county minors for four years.
 
Reason for Recommendation:On occasion the Mental Health Department has a need to place a patient at Starlight Adolescent Center. The placement costs are paid by Social Services. This agreement will allow for the provision of specialty mental health services.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:Board Clerk's Office will forward the executed agreement to Mental Health for further processing.
