Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements, as shown on River Park Estates Unit No. 2 final map recorded in Book C of Subdivision Maps at Page 101, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in July of 1962, and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in August of 1962.

Boundary Line Adjustment #05-0052 between Lot 119, 118 and 117 of River Park Estates Unit No. 2, relocated the side lot line between Lots 119 and 117, thereby omitting Lot 118. The subsequent Record of Survey Map #29/32 that recorded in the County of El Dorado Recorder’s Office in May of 2006, changed Lot 119 to Tract 1 and Lot 117 to Tract 2. An application has been submitted by John A. Rice and Kathleen M. Rice, owners of Tract 2, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate the remaining public utility easement located centrally across Tract 2, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 036-544-14. Said easement is more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.

The subject property is located on East River Park Drive, west of Highway 89 and south of US Highway 50, in Meyers. Said action is necessary to accommodate planned construction of improvements on the subject lot.
