Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: No Change to Net County Cost, as funds for this service are included in the Human Resources Department budget for the remainder of FY 2006/07. Services to be rendered after June 20, 2007, will be included in the FY 2007/08 budget.

Background:

Reason for Recommendation:The Human Resources Department has contracted with Valentina Reiner for the provision of investigative services and other specialized personnel services on an "as requested" basis. The Procurement and Contracts Division has processed Amendment II to the subject agreement.

In accordance with Board of Supervisors Policy C-17, Section 7.4.2, the Purchasing Agent concurs with the department's request to amend this agreement. The amendment calls for one (1) additional twelve (12) month extension covering the period of July 1, 2005 through June 30, 2008, and does not increase the total not to exceed amount of the contract. The total not to exceed amount of the contract remains at $160,000.00 for the three year term.

The Purchasing Agent has coordinated the review of the contractor's qualifications to perform the needed services with Judith Kerr, Deputy County Counsel with the office of County Counsel.
