Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost: The Department of Human Services has advised General Services that funds are included in their FY2007-08 budget request.

 

Background: The County of El Dorado has leased this space since 1998 for the Department of Human Services, Senior Nutrition Program. The space meets the needs of this Program and is in a location that serves the community well.

 

Reason for Recommendation:The current Facility Use Agreement expires on June 30, 2007 and the Department of Human Services has expressed their desire to exercise the option to extend the lease for an additional one (1) year term commencing July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2008. The lease amount is $459.51 per month.  The purpose of this Amendment is to revise verbiage within the agreement  to allow for future rent increases, 2% annually, as identified in Section 3 of the Facility Use Agreement.   The request to exercise the first option of the lease is retroactive due to the need to get Amendment 1 completed.

 

Action to be taken following Board approval: Upon approval by the Board, Chairman to sign Amendment 1 and General Services to forward subject Amendment 1 to the Lessor.
