Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:  No change.  Funds are budgeted each fiscal year for this ongoing expense.
 
Reason for Recommendation: On February 1, 2005, El Dorado Countys Board of Supervisors approved and entered into a perpetual (subject to payment of annual fees) agreement, El Dorado County Public Guardian Usage License Agreement #478-S0411 with CompuTrust Software Corporation, for the initial data conversion from a previously utilized, inefficient database and ongoing operational support and use of software to track and report fiscal, personal and case management data relative to conservatees served by the Public Guardian Office.  This proprietary software is recognized statewide and has proven and continues to be necessary to the efficient operation of the Public Guardian Office.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval: Board Clerk to provide Human Services-Community Services Division and Procurement & Contracts with one certified copy each of the Master Report reflecting Board action. Procurement & Contracts to encumber $12,882 in FY 2007/08 funds for payment of annual CompuTrust maintenance and user costs.
