Probation Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement 781-S0711 with the County of Amador in the amount of $100 per day per bed, whether or not the bed is occupied, for a guaranteed reservation of two (2) contract beds for placement of juveniles in the El Dorado County Juvenile Detention Facilities.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.
FUNDING: Provides revenue to the County of El Dorado.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:
The agreement may provide up to $73,000.00 in revenue for FY 2007/08 to the County of El Dorado and as such there is no Fiscal Impact or Change to Net County Cost as a result of this Board action. The Probation Department's proposed budget for 2007/08 includes revenue from this agreement.
Background:
County of El Dorado has established Juvenile Detention Facilities designed for the reception and temporary care of minors pursuant to Title 15 of the California Code of Regulations and detained in accordance with the provisions of the California Welfare and Institutions Code.
Reason for Recommendation:
County of Amador desires to have a guarantee of 2 contract beds available for placement of ward(s) of its juvenile court in an El Dorado County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The County officer or employee responsible for administering this Agreement is Joseph S. Warchol, II, Chief Probation Officer, or successor.
Action to be taken following Board approval:
1. The Chairman shall sign said agreement.
2. Probation Department shall forward fully executed agreement to the County of Amador.
