Background:

Reason for Recommendation:
Public utility easements, as shown on the Marina Hill Amended Map final map recorded in Book H of Subdivision Maps at Page 110, were irrevocably offered in perpetuity to the County of El Dorado in December of 1995, and accepted by the Board of Supervisors in January of 1996.

An application has been submitted by Bart Volen and Marcia Volen, owners of Lot 26, requesting that the County of El Dorado Board of Supervisors vacate public utilities easements located on the side and rear boundary lines, identified as Assessor’s Parcel Number 110-612-05. Said easements are more particularly described in Exhibit “A” and depicted in Exhibit “B” of the attached Resolution.
The subject property is located on Outrigger Drive, west of Francisco Drive and north of Green Valley Road, in El Dorado Hills. Said action is necessary to accommodate planned construction of improvements on the subject lot.

All utility companies that could be impacted by this vacation have provided the Department of Transportation with written notification that they have no facilities within the subject areas and have no objection to the proposed abandonment. All other existing easements will remain. The Department of Transportation’s staff has reviewed the request and has no objection.
