Background: Sacramento Children’s Home has been providing specialty mental health services for emotionally disturbed minors from El Dorado County for over two years. It is a residential facility providing support 24 hours per day. Minors placed in this facility are not currently equipped to function in a family setting. The goal of treatment is behavioral stabilization and positive connections with adults who are significant in the life of the minor, leading to eventual return to a family setting. This is achieved by use of intensive therapy and behavior modification techniques.

Reason for Recommendation:This agreement will allow for continued use of Sacramento Children’s Home’s facilities for emotionally disturbed minors. This agreement will cover the period July 1, 2007 through June 30, 2009.

This agreement is retroactive to July 1, 2007, due to the time it took for the vendor to sign and return the agreement.
