Chief Administrative Office recommending the Board receive and file the Initial Draft Response to the 2006-2007 Grand Jury Final report and provide comments to the Chief Administrative Officer regarding changes to incorporate in the Final Draft Response.

Reason for Recommendation: The 2006-2007 Grand Jury Final Report contains several reports on County programs that require response from the Board of Supervisors. These include GJ06-023 Countywide Special Revenue Funds, GJ06-033 El Dorado County Advisory Committee to the In-Home Supportive Services, GJ06-039 El Dorado County Jail, GJ06-045 El Dorado County Facilities, GJ06-049 Wraparound Program Audit and GJ06-049 El Dorado County Information Technologies. County Departments including Transportation, Public Health, General Services, Human Services, Sheriff's Office, Information Technologies and the Chief Administrative Office have prepared the attached Initial Draft Response to these reports.
The Grand Jury Foreman has been notified of the day and time of this agenda item, and has been given a copy of this memo and the Initial Draft Response per Board of Supervisors Policy A-11.
Following any additional changes directed by the Board today, staff will prepare a Final Draft Response for the Board's adoption and submittal to the Superior Court Presiding Judge. The Penal Code deadline for submittal to the Judge is September 28, 2007.
Action to be taken following Board approval: Following the direction of the Board, the CAO will work with the appropriate departments to prepare a Final Draft response to the Grand Jury report.
