Mental Health Department recommending Chairman be authorized to sign Agreement 759-S0711 with Nevada County for incoming revenue in the amount of $20,000 for a term to expire June 30, 2009 to provide psychiatric inpatient services to residents of Nevada County over the age of eighteen (18) who are eligible for Mental Health Services.
RECOMMENDED ACTION: Approve.

Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:The total amount for this revenue generating agreement is $20,000 for the two year contract. There is no Change to Net County Cost.
Background: Like many other Northern California small counties, Nevada County utilizes El Dorado County's PHF on a fee for service basis. The payment received for the services provided cover 100% of El Dorado County's costs.
Reason for Recommendation:This agreement will allow for Nevada County's continued use of El Dorado County's PHF for mentally disordered adults who are in need of 24 hour inpatient hospital care and treatment. This agreement will become effective upon execution and will expire June 30, 2009.
Action to be taken following Board approval:Board Clerk's Office will forward the executed agreement to Mental Health for further processing.
