Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:

The orginal estimated cost for the two projects totalled $6.8 million before the Angora Fire. Changes to the site will require that the project scope be evaluated and adapted to the post fire conditions. Once the scope of the revised project is determined, costs associated with these revisions, as well as available grant funding, will be secured.

Background:
On March 21, 2006, the Board approved a Mitigated Negative Declaration (Stateclearing House # 2005122039) for the Angora 3 and Fisheries Enhancement Projects (Project) which was filed with the Recorder-Clerk's office on March 24, 2006, consistent with the California Environmental Quality Act Guidelines. Since that time, the Project area has experienced a change in conditions due to the effects of the Angora Fire which started on June 24, 2007.
