Fiscal Impact/Change to Net County Cost:The total funding for this agreement is $600,000 for the two year contract. There is no Change to Net County Cost.
 
Background: Charis Youth Center has been providing specialty mental health services for county minors for five years. These services include rehabilitative day treatment, medication support, crisis intervention and individual and group counseling to children and families.
 
The Purchasing Agent concurs with the department's request noting that this contract was initiated prior to the adoption of the revised procurement policy in March of 2007 and is therefore not subject to the requirements set forth therein.
 
Reason for Recommendation:This agreement will allow for the continued provision of specialty mental health services for emotionally disturbed youth. This agreement will cover the period from date of execution through June 30, 2009.
 
Action to be taken following Board approval:Board Clerk's Office will forward the executed agreement to Mental Health for further processing.
