Chief Administrative Office, Procurement and Contracts Division, presenting a list of vehicles for surplus to the needs of the County and recommending the Board so declare and authorize disposal of same in accordance with the procedures outlined in the County's Purchasing Ordinance, Chapter 3.12.
RECOMMENDED ACTION:  Approve.

Reason for Recommendation: The Purchasing Agent is presenting to your Board a list of vehicles that are now surplus to the needs of the County as determined by the following departments:
 
·      The Human Services Department, Community Services Division, has a vehicle that is now surplus to the needs of the department, as it is in poor condition.
 
·      The General Services Department, Fleet Management Division, has vehicles that are now surplus to the needs of the County, as they have been replaced with new vehicles, are in fair to poor condition or have been totaled.
 
·      The General Services Department, Airports, Parks, and Grounds Division, has a vehicle that is now surplus to the needs of the department, as it is in poor condition.
 
Upon declaration by your Board that the vehicles are surplus, the County Purchasing Agent will dispose of the vehicles in accordance with the Purchasing Ordinanace as noted in Section 3.12.210 thereof.    
 
Fiscal Impact:  Auctioneer will retain commissions as established per Agreement # 510-S0711.  The net proceeds of sale will be deposited into the appropriate departmental accounts.  The surplus vehicles for the Human Services Department and the General Services/Airports, Parks, and Grounds division are not fleet vehicles; rather, they are owned by the departments.
 
Action to be taken following approval:  Upon approval of the recommendation, the Purchasing Agent shall dispose of said property.
